This is an opportunity for a career Legal Assistant/Paralegal to step into a hands-on, trusted support role working closely with a highly regarded Special Counsel, supporting a diverse range of plaintiff personal injury matters.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of files across medical negligence, workers’ compensation, CTP and general personal injury matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting solicitors with file and client management across PI matters
• Preparing and transcribing dictation with a high level of accuracy
• Drafting correspondence, briefs, claim forms and schedules of damages
• Preparing matters for conference and hearings
• Coordinating medico-legal appointments, mediations and compulsory conferences
• Liaising with clients, Counsel and external stakeholders
• Managing diaries, travel and general administrative support
• Assisting with document management and internal systems

About You

This role is suited to a career Legal Assistant or Paralegal who enjoys being a trusted right-hand support and thrives in a client-facing environment.

You will bring:

• 2+ years’ experience in a Legal Assistant or Paralegal role (ideally Plaintiff)
• Strong attention to detail and document management skills
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders
• Solid typing skills and intermediate MS Word & Excel
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• A proactive, forward-thinking approach

Candidates from backgrounds such as family law, wills & estates, conveyancing or other client-sensitive practice areas are also encouraged to apply.
